Bunka-Cho Film Week 2015
“Bunka-Cho Film Week” will award excellent documentaries and individuals in recognition of their long years of distinguished contribution to the film industry. The project will also hold screenings and symposiums to offer opportunities for people involved with films in different capacities to gather together.

Minato Screening

Directors Guild of Japan New Directors Award Film Screening and Symposium
The 55th winner of the Directors Guild of Japan’s prestigious New Directors Award will be screened, followed by a discussion on the future of film with guest directors of TIFF 2015 in and out of Japan.

Future of Films:Inviting New Audience with “Barrier Free” (Disabled-access) Screening
“Our Little Sister” is screened barrier-free. An app “UDCast” and device provides subtitles (Japanese/English) and audio guide. An event to kick-off the time when people with visual and hearing disabilities enjoy films anytime anywhere.

Six grand prix films from three student film festivals in Japan gather together to introduce the frontiers of Japanese student films.

Korean Cinema Week 2015
Korean Cinema Week marks the 15th anniversary since its start in 2001. Superb, latest Korean films from various genres will be screened again this year to showcase the best of Korean films. Most films are premieres in Japan.
