Introduction

The film The Inerasable is based on a horror novel which earned Fuyumi Ono, famous for her “Shiki” and The Twelve Kingdoms series, the 26th Yamamoto Shugoro Literary Prize. Yoshihiro Nakamura, whose important works include The Snow White Murder Case and Prophecy, has crafted this chilling story into a film. The first-person protagonist, apparently Ono herself, is played by popular actress Yuko Takeuchi. Up-and-coming starlet Ai Hashimoto plays Ms. Kubo who helps the heroine investigate the succession of riddles. The talented cast also includes Kuranosuke Sasaki, Kentaro Sakaguchi and Kenichi Takitoh.
