This year, TIFF will hold “Kyoto Filmmakers Lab,” – the workshop for young creators will be held in collaboration with Kyoto HISTORICA International Film Festival (KHIFF). The new program “Masters Session” will be added into the “Kyoto Filmmakers Lab” which has been held as a part of KHIFF since 2007 and will be held from Oct. 25 (Sun.) to 30 (Fri.) this year. The principle of the project is to support the continuous progress of creators who are gathered in Kyoto and to assist their success in the film industry.
To support this, TIFF will arrange a stimulating lecture for one of “Masters Session” and TIFF jury members from the Asian Future section and Japanese Cinema Splash section will serve as guest speaker for the lecture called Session 7, “Now and Future for Asian Cinema: The Standing Point of Asian Cinema”.
Some of the “Master Session” will be open to the students majoring in arts and film productions to foster young film makers. Those who are interested in participating, please check the updated news for the registration.
