Introduction

In the year 1949, as the long-fought Civil War in China comes to a close, three young Nationalist soldiers come across an orphaned boy as they flee from the encroaching Communists. The three men and their adopted child find their way to a strange country called Taiwan. They are a family born out of war and grown on the route of migration, the burgeoning love they have for one another helping them find a place to call home. People can be as floating and fragmented as dandelions in the wind, but through their bond to one another, can become as tough and as rooted as weeds.
